Associate Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the University of A Coruña since 2003, with 4 six-year research periods recognized by the Ministry of Science and Innovation.
Degree (1990) and PhD (1994) in Chemistry from the University of Santiago de Compostela. She was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Paris VI, under the direction of Prof. Jacques Livage, member of the Collège de France and the Academie des Sciences, and Prof. Christian Julien.
She has participated in 22 interdisciplinary research projects in the field of Functional and Multifunctional Materials, and has carried out several research stays (Universities Paris VI and Paris VII, University of Berkeley-USA, European Synchroton Radiation Facility-Grenoble, Laue Langevin-Neutron Institute for Science). She is co-author of more than 80 publications in SCI journals, more than 130 communications in national and international conferences and 2 patents, and has supervised 4 PhD Theses (+ 2 in progress).
Also interested in the field of Arts and Sciences, she is part of the Reflective Interaction group (EnsadLab) at the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris, collaborating in the 3D printing of porcelain and concrete, and in the integration of the use of waste.
Very active in scientific dissemination, she has given talks, workshops and conferences in academic and extra-academic environments, in Galicia, Paris, Dublin, London …
