Full Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the University of A Coruña since 2008, with 5 6-year research periods recognized by the Ministry of Science and Innovation.
Degree in Chemistry from the University of Santiago de Compostela, Master in Materials of Technological Interest from the Complutense University of Madrid and PhD in Chemistry from the Complutense University of Madrid. She was a Fullbrigt postdoctoral fellow at the University of Texas at Austin under the direction of Prof. John B. Goodenough (Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2019).
She has participated in more than 25 interdisciplinary research projects in the field of Functional and Multifunctional Materials, most of them as PI, and has worked in different countries (USA, Germany, France, Mexico, etc.).
She is co-author of more than 140 publications in SCI journals, more than 200 papers in national and international conferences and 5 patents, and has supervised 8 PhD Theses (+1 in progress).
She is currently Vice-President of the Spanish Group of Solid State Chemistry and Materials of the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry, and has been Director of the Department of Fundamental Chemistry of the UDC, Director of General Research Support Services of the UDC, and Member of the Galician Commission of Reports, Evaluation, Certification and Accreditation (CGIACA) of the Agency for the Quality of the University System of Galicia (ACSUG), among other positions.
